Mr. Kirchmeyer began his career in the Real Estate Valuation Industry in 1983 as a New York State Certified Appraiser, earning the Senior Residential Appraiser (SRA) designation from the Appraisal Institute.
In 1994, Mr. Kirchmeyer founded his own real estate appraisal company. Kirchmeyer & Associates, Inc. (www.kirchmeyer.com), grew
from servicing the Buffalo, NY area to include Rochester NY, Syracuse NY and Baltimore MD.
After which, Kirchmeyer & Associates, Inc, (KA) provided their services throughout the entire US with over 6,000 appraisers. KA is a HVCC compliant Appraisal Management Company (AMC).
As a complement to his appraisal company, Mr. Kirchmeyer founded Real Info, Inc. (www.real-info.com) in 1995. Real Info is a real estate valuation and data company specializing in Automated Valuation Models (AVMs). This company provides access to one of the most comprehensive databases of real property, including tax and structural information for both residential and commercial properties, as well as providing Automated Valuation Solutions to lenders. He has written four proprietary AVMs that include: i-Val™, realAssessment™, Q-Val™ and realTrend™ Reports.
With these companies, Mr. Kirchmeyer offered a "Total Valuation Solution" to his customers nationwide. Together they provide assessed values, AVMs, desktop appraisals, BPOs, drive-by appraisals, full URAR appraisals and complete narrative commercial appraisals.
Mr. Kirchmeyer has long been a pioneer in the appraisal industry. He was first to create an online automated status sytem, one of the first to adopt new technology to improve services, one of the first appraisal companies to see the future of AVMs and create an automated valuation product for easier appraisal assignments.
Author of "AVMs 101: A Guide to Automated Valuation Models" and "AVMs 201: A Practical Guide to the Implementation of Automated Valuation Models", Mr. Kirchmeyer is the leading authority on Real Estate Valuations, tools and technologies. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Information Professionals Association (REIPA) and National Chairman of the Collateral Assessment and Technologies Committee (CATC) under REIPA and on the Board of Directors for the Western New York Mortgage Banking and Credit Association (WNYMBCA).
