Statistical Analyst
Real-Info, Inc is looking for a full time Statistical Analyst with programming experience and a strong background in Mathematics, Statistics, and/or Economics. This person will be responsible for model testing & evaluation, enhancements and development of various valuation methodologies, researching academic papers on hedonic, spatial and time series models and more. Past experience with or knowledge of Real Estate data and markets is a plus, but not necessary. The qualified candidate will work closely with our IT department and executive team.
Requirements:
- MA/MS degree in mathematics, statistics, or economics and one year programming/modeling experience, or a Ph.D in one of these fields.
- Technical skills to handle large datasets using statistical software such as SAS or SPSS or R-Project.
- Familiarity with forecasting techniques.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and MySQL
- Programming experience with Perl or C++ or Java is a plus.
- Knowledge of Real Estate Markets is helpful but not required.
Programmer
Real-Info, Inc is seeking a full-tine programmer to work in its IT-Web department. Pay is commensurate with candidate's experience and skills. This person should have working knowledge and exposure in web development field in LAMP technology and would be involved in full software development / web applications / website development life cycle starting from requirement analysis to testing.
The ideal candidate for development role would have 1-2 years of experience and be able to perform the following activities:
- Write excellent code in PHP/ MySQL (Documentation and commenting)
- Have a good understanding of object-oriented programming and its practical approach in web application development.
- Be able to work independently or with a team with little input and guidance given by the senior members of the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Have some experience with the following: PHP, MySQL, PERL, Apache, Linux, XML, XSL, Web page design in HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, XML parsing, APIs and SOAP services.
- Working experience in object oriented modeling is a definite plus.
