Kirchmeyer Serves on AVM Panel at the a la mode Annual Convention in Las Vegas

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Feb. 24, 2005 -- James A. Kirchmeyer, president of Real Info, Inc., a national real estate valuation company, served on an AVM panel at the a la mode Annual Convention, held Feb. 21-23, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Over 700 appraisers attended this year's a la mode Annual Convention. The goal of the conference was to help appraisers increase efficiency, obtain new clients, get the most from appraisal tools, and meet with industry leaders to market their services. Along with the AVM panel, sessions included information on copyrighting appraisal data and a presentation on the future of appraisal, featuring perspectives on appraiser marketing, technology, and client/lender state regulatory issues.

Kirchmeyer outlined the benefits of automated valuation models (AVMs), which provide an electronically generated valuation of residential properties. He discussed how AVMs are playing an increasingly important role in the industry and how appraisers can integrate AVMs into their product mix.

“AVMs are becoming an increasingly valuable technology for appraisers to have in their arsenals,” said Kirchmeyer. “They offer appraisers what we call our “Total Valuation Solution”. He also said, “AVM technology should be in the hands of well trained appraisers.”

Real Info, Inc., headquartered in Buffalo, N.Y., provides automated property valuations to home equity lenders, credit unions, and real estate professionals. The automated valuation model (AVM) services allow clients to streamline the appraisal process with cost-effective, accurate, and time-saving solutions. Real Info uses its proprietary Internet delivery technology to provide searchable real estate data on over 85 million parcels across the United States through its realAccess™ subscription service.
