James A. Kirchmeyer is Featured Speaker at the
Predictive Methods Conference
BUFFALO, N.Y. — June 30, 2005 — James A. Kirchmeyer, president of Real Info, Inc., a Western New York real estate valuation company, was a featured speaker at the fifth annual Predictive Methods Conference (PMC 2005). The event was held June 26 to 29 at the Four Seasons Hotel and Resort in Newport Beach, Calif.
The PMC presents the latest advances and insights in mortgage technology, applications, techniques, standards, and regulatory issues. The purpose of PMC 2005 was to explore the world of regulatory compliance and due diligence across the real estate industry, which has come under increasing scrutiny.
Kirchmeyer’s presentation covered several issues:
- Issues of fraud, manipulation, and objectivity in real estate appraisals
- Complying with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) policies and guidelines
- Regulatory compliance issues
- New automated valuation model (AVM) products (AVMs provide an electronically generated valuation of residential properties.)
- Upgrades to appraisal products
“AVM offerings and appraisal technology are expanding every day,” said Kirchmeyer. “It is important for those in the industry not only to understand the options, but to be aware of the regulations related to them and compliance issues.”
