From AVMs to Traditional Appraisals

& Associates, Inc., a full-service appraisal company. The collaboration between
the two companies affords complete valuation solutions to a variety of
industries and professionals, including home equity lenders, credit union
administrators, and real estate professionals. Services include automated
valuation models (AVMs), realComps ™ and realTrend™ Reports, drive-by
appraisals, and traditional appraisals.
The business alliance was created in order to manage and monitor the entire
appraisal and valuation process with increased efficiencies. AVMs are online
databases that can match up similar properties to summarize the range of sales
prices that have historically been recorded for a property. If an AVM does not
provide a value, the appraisal can be immediately upgraded to a drive-by
appraisal or a traditional appraisal.
